Every smock on this page was woven by hand on a narrow loom in Northern Ghana, then stitched together by a tailor. Nothing here is printed. Nothing here came off a roll.
That matters more than it sounds. A hand loom in Tamale produces cloth about four inches wide, so a single smock is a stack of strips sewn edge to edge, and the check you can see is what happens where the stripes of one strip meet the stripes of the next. It is a pattern made by construction, not by a printer. Run your thumb across the hem and you will feel it: woven closed, never frayed.

The three tiers, and what separates them
Heritage Classic, $155 to $179. Eight colorways. Clean solids and quiet two-tones: white, grey, taupe, brown, bronze. Fewer strips, straightforward weave, no hand embroidery. This is the smock you wear on a Wednesday because you feel like it. It is also the right first one.
Signature Profile, $185 to $215. Twelve colorways. Higher strip count, so the check is finer and the cloth has more body. This is where the patterned pieces live: Brown Check, Blue Patchwork, Grey and Pink, Black and Yellow. More loom hours, more precision in the joining, because a check that does not line up across the seam ruins it.
Presidential Elite, $225 to $250. Eleven colorways. The top of the range: densest strip count, hand embroidery at the neck and chest, supplementary-weft inlay, gold-thread accents on pieces like Blue and Gold, Black and Gold, Navy and Gold. These are woven by the most senior people we work with, and they take 10 to 21 days. We are not going to pretend otherwise at checkout. If you need one for a date, order early.
